About the Role
The Assembler’s primary function is to perform winding, assembly, complex and repetitive wiring, and to produce complete sub‑assemblies and final assembly of control equipment. The role includes checking the electrical and mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards. The assembler works from drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of control equipment. They determine necessary parts and materials, prepare requisitions, cut, strip, and attach terminals, and route, assemble, wire, adjust, fit, and modify components into finished control assemblies. The position requires checking electrical and mechanical performance, making adjustments and alignments, executing engineering and customer changes, performing repairs, maintaining required records, operating power tools, and keeping the work area neat and orderly while observing all safety and hygiene rules. • Assemble and wire control equipment using drawings and engineering specs. • Determine needed parts and submit requisitions for materials. • Cut, strip, and terminate wire; route and install components into sub‑assemblies. • Test electrical and mechanical performance to meet Asheville Plant quality standards. • Implement engineering and customer changes, perform repairs, and adjust alignments. • Operate power tools (battery‑powered and compressed‑air) and perform lifting, bending, ladder work as required. • Maintain accurate records, keep work area clean, and follow safety and hygiene regulations.

What You Bring
Candidates must be able to lift 35 lb at waist, shoulder, and overhead levels, read blueprints and wiring diagrams, and have a proven history of safe work habits. The role demands the ability to work effectively without direct supervision and to work overtime on weekdays and weekends. No relocation assistance is provided; only applicants within a 50‑mile radius are considered, with an exemption for active‑duty military service members. • Lift up to 35 lb (waist, shoulder, overhead) and read blueprints/wiring diagrams. • Work independently, with the ability to work overtime on weekdays and weekends. • Candidates must reside within 50 mi of the site (exempt for active‑duty military).
