About the Role
Each day you will inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on a variety of diesel equipment and CNG trucks. You will estimate labor and material costs, follow Standard Labor Repair Times, respond to emergency breakdowns, conduct safety checks, complete required paperwork, and maintain a clean, OSHA‑compliant work area. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on diesel and CNG trucks. • Estimate labor and material costs and adhere to Standard Labor Repair Times. • Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform safety checks. • Complete paperwork, document parts usage, and maintain OSHA‑compliant clean work area. • Work at WM’s Walker, LA repair shop supporting over 20 million customers nationwide.

What You Bring
Candidates need at least two years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, be 18 or older, legally authorized to work in the United States, and able to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical. Welding experience and ASE certifications are preferred, and applicants must be able to meet the physical demands of the role. The job requires frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing, and constant standing, walking, and grasping, with occasional sitting and balancing. Workers are exposed to cuts, burns, chemicals, dirt, odors, noise, and inclement weather both inside the garage and outdoors. • Work schedule: Mon‑Fri 2 pm‑10 pm, occasional Saturdays; stable hours. • Minimum 2 years relevant experience; valid driver’s license with clean record. • Preferred welding experience and ASE certifications. • Must be 18+, eligible to work in US, and pass drug screen and physical. • Physical demands: frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing; exposure to cuts, burns, chemicals, noise, weather.
