About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer you will work primarily in the UK water market, delivering feasibility, design, construction and commissioning services that keep water flowing and wastewater treated. Your work will directly improve environmental outcomes and community well‑being by enhancing the efficiency of water and wastewater treatment systems. You will shape the electrical aspects of projects from concept design through to commissioning, ensuring that all electrical functions are fully integrated throughout the project lifecycle. • Welcome internal applicants. • Design electrical systems for water treatment equipment, including MCCs, LV distribution, cabling, instrumentation, industrial networks, PLCs and SCADA. • Apply client, WIMES standards and legislation to designs. • Coordinate multidisciplinary design team to meet brief, schedule and budget. • Prepare technical specifications, schedules and review supplier bids. • Develop URS for control systems, review FDS and attend factory acceptance tests. • Assess existing installed systems via site visits, drawings and reports. • Engage with clients, manage relationships and support their objectives. • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. • Use a methodical approach to problem solving. • Participate in annual bonus schemes. • Join advanced employee networks supporting diverse communities.

What You Bring

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and a commitment to achieve IEng/CEng chartership. Effective communication, a methodical problem‑solving approach and a valid driving licence for site travel are essential. Mott MacDonald Bentley does not currently sponsor Skilled Worker visas due to recent UK government changes, but welcomes candidates eligible for alternative immigration routes. • Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. • Pursue IEng/CEng chartership with an engineering institution. • Possess a valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
