About the Role
The Senior Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure role is based in Warrington or Normanton and supports delivery of local authority projects across the North West or Yorkshire. The position reports to the infrastructure team and focuses on commercial performance of civil engineering schemes. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to client expectations while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. • Ensure a safe working environment • Produce and negotiate subcontract documentation, including terms, prices and programme • Manage subcontract work packages, conducting interim assessments and change management • Issue all commercial notices to clients and subcontractors as required by contract • Oversee and manage changes promptly, including compensation event quotations • Prepare, submit and agree monthly applications with the client per contract terms • Liaise with operational and engineering staff to maintain site records • Produce detailed monthly reports, cost‑value reconciliation and maintain a cost plan with forecasting

What You Bring
Candidates should have a solid understanding of NEC contracts, strong IT and cost‑management system skills, and relevant academic or commercial experience. Experience on large or multiple schemes, CSCS certification, and time‑and‑outcome management are essential, with professional membership such as MCIOB or MRICS being desirable. • Demonstrate strong understanding of NEC contracts • Utilize Excel, Word and cost‑management systems such as CEMAR and Oracle • Hold a relevant degree or equivalent commercial experience • Experience on large single or multiple smaller schemes • Possess a valid CSCS card • Exhibit first‑class time and outcome management skills • Hold or be working towards a professional qualification (MCIOB or MRICS)
