About the Role
Responsibilities include testing and consulting services for the built environment, property condition assessments, specialized testing, building enclosure consulting, forensic investigation analysis, and designing repairs to existing structures, among other facilities‑related services. The position involves projects such as inspections of building enclosures, building enclosure testing and assessments, air leakage testing, construction quality assurance observations, roofing assessments, design specification review, field performance testing, and building enclosure commissioning consulting. Additional duties include occasional field and laboratory testing, assisting with preparation of reports, proposals, and projects, scheduling and oversight of facilities technicians, mentoring staff, and promoting a safe workplace with proper PPE use. • Conduct inspections, testing, assessments, and commissioning of building enclosures for existing structures. • Perform building enclosure testing, air leakage testing, and field performance testing. • Carry out construction quality assurance observations and roofing assessments. • Review design specifications and provide building enclosure consulting and forensic analysis. • Execute occasional field and laboratory testing and assist in preparing reports, proposals, and project documentation. • Schedule, oversee, and mentor facilities technicians and other staff members. • Promote workplace safety and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

What You Bring
Qualifications: a High School Diploma or GED is required; a B.Arch or M.Arch (NCARB) accredited by NAAB or a BS in Engineering, Building Science, or a related degree from an ABET‑accredited institution is preferred. Candidates need 0–2 years of relevant building facilities consulting experience, or alternatively 4 years as an ECS Facilities Staff Associate or an equivalent combination of experience, certification, and education. Experience with non‑destructive testing is preferred. • Hold a High School Diploma/GED; B.Arch, M.Arch (NCARB) or BS in Engineering/Building Science preferred. • Possess 0–2 years of building facilities consulting experience or 4 years as an ECS Facilities Staff Associate. • Experience with non‑destructive testing is a plus.
