About the Role

The MEP Delivery Manager will be accountable for delivering mechanical, electrical and public‑services solutions on time, within budget, and to required safety and quality standards. The role requires leading technical and construction teams, ensuring compliance, governance and assurance while cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Lead the MEP team, modelling professional behavior and ensuring adherence to Mace standards. • Deliver MEP services, managing programme, health & safety, quality and commissioning. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, trade contractors and project leaders. • Oversee the tendering process, providing technical and commercial support to bid teams. • Contribute to procurement strategies and secure specialist packages within scope and budget. • Review contracts, prepare budgets, value engineer, schedule and support commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle. • Develop and execute project strategic plans, including prefabrication, commissioning and safety initiatives. • Direct design reviews for compliance, coordination, embodied carbon and operational energy in line with RIBA/BSRIA frameworks. • Manage delivery strategies and programmes, ensuring key milestones, interfaces, logistics and work sequencing. • Conduct productivity assessments using digital tools, identify risks and drive project close‑out deliverables such as as‑built drawings and O&M manuals. • Identify risks, produce mitigation plans and champion continuous improvement and lessons learned. • Negotiate with senior stakeholders, manage large teams and provide performance management, coaching and career development.

What You Bring

• Hold a trade/technical apprenticeship or graduate development programme and formal engineering training (HNC/HND/BTEC or equivalent). • Hold valid SMSTS and CSCS cards. • Possess advanced knowledge of engineering systems, design standards, installation techniques, prefabrication and commissioning. • Possess advanced expertise in construction sequencing, planning, critical path scheduling and commissioning activities. • Possess advanced commercial management skills covering procurement, change control, risk mitigation and cost forecasting. • Possess advanced health, safety and welfare expertise, including working at height, electrical, fire, logistics and lifting. • Possess advanced quality assurance and system integration experience (BMS, IST). • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management, presentation and communication skills. • Show innovative, adaptable and analytical capabilities with a collaborative, inclusive approach. • Have experience delivering MEP projects exceeding £25 million and a proven track record in the construction sector. • Be proficient in building services or a specific engineering discipline.
