About the Role

ERM invites dynamic leaders to steer high‑impact programs that shape sustainable energy futures. As part of a collaborative team, you will deliver solutions to complex environmental challenges for power‑sector clients in Northern California. In the Senior Consultant/Scientist/Project Manager role you will act as the primary liaison with clients, aligning program objectives and ensuring timely, high‑quality deliverables. Leveraging expertise in permitting and planning, you will navigate regional requirements and guide efficient project execution across multidisciplinary teams. • Lead permitting efforts for vegetation management projects, including QA/QC of encroachment permit packages. • Partner with multidisciplinary teams to resolve constraints and ensure full regulatory compliance. • Manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality for complex environmental projects. • Facilitate planning sessions and coordinate cross‑functional teams to meet municipal and environmental requirements. • Communicate field data collection needs and integrate findings into project workflows. • Identify and implement process improvements to boost program efficiency. • Maintain clear documentation and provide proactive updates to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree—or equivalent experience—in environmental science, engineering, project management, or a related discipline, and possess at least three years of relevant experience, including two years managing vegetation‑management initiatives. Strong organizational, communication, and client‑engagement skills are essential, as is proficiency with project‑management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet), GIS platforms, and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with vegetation‑management regulatory frameworks is also valuable. • Required: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, project management or related field (or equivalent experience). • Minimum 3+ years experience in permitting, planning, or environmental project management; at least 2 years managing vegetation‑management projects. • Strong organizational, communication, and client‑engagement skills; proficiency with MS Project, Smartsheet, GIS platforms, and Microsoft Office. • Preferred PMP or equivalent certification; familiarity with vegetation‑management regulatory frameworks.

The position offers an anticipated annual base salary of $74,825 to $96,901, with potential bonus eligibility, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, parental leave, health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and retirement plans such as 401(k) or RRSP/DPSP.
