About the Role

The Airframe Assembler II position is located in Irvine, CA and focuses on assembling parts or units into subassemblies or frames. The role requires positioning, aligning, and fastening components using a variety of hand and power tools, and may include disassembly of products returned for repair. Workers use routing sheets, operating instruction sheets, and documentation to ensure proper assembly. During assembly, the assembler conducts visual inspections of units and may serve as an operator/inspector for other department members. After completion, units are inspected, tested, and adjusted to verify they meet specifications and tolerances. The assembler determines the tooling and special gauging needed for each task. All activities must comply with safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to departmental safety objectives. • Assemble, align, and fasten airframe components using hand and power tools. • Disassemble and reassemble returned products for repair. • Follow routing and instruction sheets to ensure correct assembly. • Perform visual inspections and act as operator/inspector for quality assurance. • Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to meet specifications and tolerances. • Determine required tooling and special gauges for each task. • Adhere to safety protocols, PPE usage, and departmental safety goals. • Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S standards.

What You Bring

The work area is kept clean, organized, and orderly in accordance with 5S standards. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of mechanical assembly experience. The position is subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and is limited to U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR. • Hold a high school diploma/GED and at least 2 years of mechanical assembly experience. • Meet ITAR requirements; must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR.
