About the Role
The Geologist will apply scientific principles to develop solutions, prepare work plans and reports, interpret data for regulatory compliance, and monitor environmental conditions in natural systems. Field duties include collecting soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment samples, maintaining chain‑of‑custody documentation, reviewing analytical data for quality, and coordinating with project managers and subcontractors. • Apply scientific principles to solve limited‑scope technical problems. • Develop technical work plans and write reports. • Interpret data and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. • Plan, execute, analyze, and report environmental monitoring in natural systems. • Collect soil, vapor, groundwater, surface water, and sediment samples using standard field equipment and complete chain‑of‑custody paperwork. • Analyze contaminants and recommend restoration actions. • Perform unsupervised field tasks and direct staff as needed. • Review analytical data for quality indicators according to guidelines. • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and field staff for sampling and documentation. • Provide technical expertise and support to the project team.

What You Bring
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a related discipline and four years of relevant experience, along with a valid U.S. driver’s license. Preferred credentials feature a Master’s degree, professional registration, HAZWOPER certification, experience with conceptual site models, and proficiency in GIS, CAD, and office software. The role requires the ability to travel within the United States and meet physical demands such as lifting 50 lb and wearing a respirator. • Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field plus 4 years relevant experience (or equivalent). • Valid U.S. driver’s license. • Master’s degree or professional registration preferred. • Ability to travel for field work and meetings within the U.S. • Experience developing conceptual site models and remediation strategies. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; GIS, CAD, and visualization software desirable. • OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain within 6 months. • Strong written and verbal communication with clients and regulators. • Ability to lift 50 lb and operate a full‑size pickup truck; fit to wear a respirator.
