About the Role
• Implement public outreach strategies for infrastructure and water projects. • Develop news releases, brochures, fact sheets, media alerts, and other public communications. • Create and execute strategic social‑media outreach plans across platforms such as X, Facebook, and Instagram. • Research, write, and edit content for websites, presentations, marketing materials, and media notifications. • Coordinate and facilitate virtual and in‑person public meetings and community events. • Provide guidance on public inquiries and escalate stakeholder issues as needed. • Monitor, archive, and respond to media coverage and requests related to project issues. • Analyze the effectiveness of outreach campaigns, including website and social‑media performance. • Direct support services including graphic design, website development, video production, and photography. • Collaborate with project teams and clients to align communications with client priorities and program messaging. • Attend external project, agency, and community meetings to report public involvement updates. • Identify opportunities for community and professional involvement for project teams. • Build strong client relationships and support business development activities. • Perform local neighborhood outreach, including occasional door‑to‑door engagement.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time permanent basis and adhere to the company’s health, safety, and harassment policies. • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Urban Planning, or related field. • 3–5 years of communications experience with strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills. • Proven ability to translate complex technical information into clear, public‑friendly content. • Experience creating content for websites, social media, and media notifications. • High attention to detail, strong proofreading skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and social‑media outreach tools. • Ability to work collaboratively with teams, lead tasks, and engage with diverse audiences, including senior management. • Willingness to work some evenings, weekends, and occasional field outreach for local water clients. • Preferred: experience with infrastructure (transportation, energy, water, construction) projects. • Preferred: conversational Spanish proficiency for written translations and communication. • Preferred: local candidates residing in the Salt Lake City area.
