About the Role
In this role you will provide biological expertise that guides vegetation management for a major California utility, develop Biological Resource Assessments, and support CEQA/NEPA documentation, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and protecting sensitive habitats and species. Key responsibilities include preparing Biological Resource Assessments and related technical documents, supporting CEQA, NEPA, ESA Biological Assessments, and CDFW 1602 permitting processes, managing scope, schedule, and budget, building relationships with project managers and clients, and contributing to project coordination and deputy project management tasks. What You Bring
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent experience, at least one year of environmental consulting or fieldwork in Northern California, strong technical writing and communication skills, and a working knowledge of federal and state regulations such as ESA, CESA, and CEQA. A Master’s degree, power‑sector permitting experience, and familiarity with special‑status species are preferred. • Require Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences (or equivalent) and 1+ year consulting/field experience. • Strong technical writing, organizational, and communication skills. • Working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations. • Preferred Master’s degree and experience in power‑sector environmental permitting. • Familiarity with special‑status species, plants, and habitats in Northern California.
