About the Role
The Maintenance Technician B works under the direction of a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager to repair and maintain diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks. Duties include work on chassis components, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulics, electrical, air brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, steering, and basic tire services. The role offers training on new technologies, competitive wages, regular shifts, and opportunities for professional growth while supporting drivers and the community. Key responsibilities include performing preventative and corrective maintenance on chassis, refuse bodies (including hydraulic, electrical and braking systems), engines, suspension, drivetrain, steering, and heating/air‑conditioning systems. The technician also conducts line‑maintenance welding and fabrication, provides safe road service when needed, diagnoses malfunctions with electronic tools, and completes required company training. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

What You Bring
Candidates should have at least one year of technician experience with gasoline and diesel equipment or be a recent graduate of an accredited automotive program. They must be able to inspect and repair systems such as suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions with limited supervision. Possession of a valid driver’s license is required; ASE certifications and a commercial driver’s license are preferred but not mandatory.
