About the Role
The role centers on responding to service calls from the Service Resource Center, diagnosing equipment and system malfunctions, and performing repairs on electronic fire alarm and related building systems at customer sites. You will follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures, interpret technical documentation, and ensure each service call is documented and signed off by the customer. You will also participate in an on‑call rotation, mentor junior technicians, and provide customers with solutions that improve building efficiency, including upselling and quoting recommended upgrades. The position requires field work that may involve climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and occasional overnight travel. • Receive and log service calls from the Service Resource Center • Diagnose equipment and system malfunctions on fire alarm and building systems • Perform repairs, panel reprogramming, and device replacements on site • Follow troubleshooting procedures and reference technical manuals • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications • Complete service acknowledgements and obtain customer signatures • Participate in scheduled on‑call rotation and after‑hours support • Train and mentor fellow service technicians • Provide recommendations, quotes, and upsell efficiency solutions • Document all activities and maintain accurate records

What You Bring
• 3–5+ years experience with low‑voltage electrical, fire/life safety, access control, nurse call, or paging systems • NICET Level I–II certification (strongly preferred) • Ability to read blueprints, submittals, and product manuals • Proficiency with test equipment, multimeters, and digital analyzers • High school diploma or equivalent; ability to follow written and verbal instructions • Physical capability to lift 50–70 lb and work at heights up to 40 ft • Strong customer‑service orientation and communication skills • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
