Armed Security Officer (North Carolina) (VAXCOM)

About the Role

• Control facility access by monitoring surveillance, inspecting vehicles, and verifying identification. • Respond to incidents with appropriate force, including armed response per Use of Force Policy. • Address fire, medical, bomb threats, elevator emergencies, hazardous materials, weather, and other incidents day or night. • Observe and report suspicious activity. • Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment, control devices, and weapon systems. • Complete 40 hours of annual in‑service training. • Maintain an active Secret security clearance.

What You Bring

• Hold a college certificate or 2‑4 years related experience, or an equivalent education/experience mix. • Have at least two years experience in law enforcement, corrections, security, or the U.S. Armed Forces. • Pass an annual physical fitness test (1.5‑mile run, push‑ups, sit‑ups). • Hold PPSB certification for Glock 17, Remington 870, and M‑4 Carbine. • possess First Aid and CPR certification. • Complete FEMA courses 100, 200, 700, and 800. • Pass a Fit‑for‑Duty exam after offer acceptance.
