About the Role
The Production Supervisor will oversee 50‑75 production and operations employees, such as assemblers, inspectors, machine operators, fabricators, and plant operators, ensuring that production schedules are completed on time, safely, and within budget. Key responsibilities include directing the workforce to meet production goals, enforcing safety and sanitation regulations, anticipating and removing production obstacles, leading product quality initiatives with quality staff and engineers, and resolving worker problems and production issues. The role also involves motivating staff, approving hourly timesheets, monitoring performance and attendance, ensuring work orders are completed on schedule, coordinating with other supervisors, training new employees, analyzing production data, reviewing engineering packages, and adhering to Johnson Controls safety standards and Alberta OHS regulations. • Supervise 50–75 production and operation employees, including assemblers, inspectors, machine operators, fabricators, and plant operators. • Direct workforce to achieve production goals while meeting schedule, safety, and budget targets. • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations and ensure compliance with Alberta and Canadian OHS guidelines. • Anticipate production obstacles and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve them. • Lead product quality efforts, collaborating with Quality staff and Engineers and taking accountability for QA performance. • Resolve worker problems, complaints, and production issues in partnership with management. • Motivate employees to improve morale, efficiency, and output. • Approve hourly timesheets and manage attendance, scheduling, and performance monitoring. • Ensure timely completion of work orders within budget constraints. • Coordinate operations with other supervisors across departments. • Demonstrate equipment operation and train new hires on work and safety procedures. • Analyze charts, work orders, and production schedules to meet deadline requirements. • Review manufacturing engineering packages and provide improvement feedback. • Maintain adherence to Johnson Controls safety program and AOHS regulations. • Work rotating shift (6 am–6 pm) and consistently follow safety policies, including wearing protective equipment.

What You Bring
The position requires at least three years of production supervisory experience, solid knowledge of operations, warehouse, transportation management, inventory control, and relevant local and federal regulations. Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑solving, written and verbal communication skills, a customer‑service orientation, and a commitment to safety. The role operates on a rotating shift from 6 am to 6 pm. Preferred qualifications include a trades or university degree, Six Sigma/Kaizen/Lean training, and First Aid certification. • Require 3+ years production supervisor experience with knowledge of operations, inventory control, and relevant regulations. • Possess strong analytical, problem‑solving, written and verbal communication skills and a customer‑service orientation. • Preferred: trades or university degree, Six Sigma/Kaizen/Lean training, First Aid certification.
