About the Role
The Senior Interior Design Engineer / Manager will join the PMC design management team on a unique ultra‑luxury development. Reporting to the Design Director from a site‑based office, the role oversees review and technical delivery of world‑class interior environments across hospitality, residential, cultural, and lifestyle spaces, ensuring alignment with the project’s distinctive vision and high‑performance standards. Key responsibilities include conducting interior design reviews against client requirements and design criteria, reviewing shop drawings and construction technical submissions, and preparing reports covering design, procurement, factory visits, FF&E prototypes, and mock‑ups. The incumbent will coordinate with interior design consultants, participate in design reviews, mock‑up evaluations, and material approvals on‑site, and support integration of interior design with architecture, MEP, and fit‑out teams to preserve design intent. The role also involves managing design changes, value‑engineering options, and technical challenges in collaboration with stakeholders, reviewing detailed design issues, construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications, and interfacing with contractors, supervision consultants, and suppliers to meet project needs. • Conduct interior design reviews to ensure compliance with client requirements, design intent, and technical standards. • Review shop drawings and construction technical submissions from contractors and procurement agents. • Prepare reports and documentation covering design, procurement, factory visits, FF&E prototypes, and mock-ups. • Evaluate CAD drawings, BIM models, renderings, layouts, and material boards prepared by interior design consultants. • Coordinate with interior design consultants to deliver fully detailed packages throughout design and construction phases. • Participate in on-site design reviews, mock-up evaluations, and material approval processes. • Support integration of interior design with architecture, MEP, and fit-out teams to maintain design intent. • Manage design changes, value-engineering options, and resolve technical challenges with stakeholders. • Review detailed design issues, construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications prepared by others. • Interface with contractors, supervision consultants, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met. • Communicate design ideas clearly and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in interior design or interior architecture (master’s a plus) and bring at least 15 years of experience on high‑end hospitality, residential, or resort projects. Required skills include exceptional design sensibility, technical detailing, familiarity with ultra‑luxury materials and international interior standards, and proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, and InDesign, along with strong communication and coordination abilities. Preferred experience includes work on ultra‑luxury or giga projects in the Middle East, LEED/WELL or other sustainability credentials, knowledge of local codes and authority processes, and expertise in luxury fit‑out, bespoke FF&E, and project construction management. A portfolio demonstrating regional luxury interior projects and experience with mock‑up inspections, factory visits, and FF&E prototype reviews is highly advantageous. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in interior design or interior architecture (master’s degree preferred). • Possess minimum 15 years of experience on high-end hospitality, residential, or resort projects. • Demonstrate strong design sensibility, technical detailing, and familiarity with ultra-luxury materials and international standards. • Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, and InDesign. • Experience on ultra‑luxury or giga projects in the Middle East. • LEED/WELL or other sustainability credentials. • Knowledge of local authority processes, codes, and regional project delivery. • Expertise in luxury fit‑out, bespoke FF&E, and construction management.
