About the Role
The Field Performance Technician is responsible for managing, scheduling, and completing all service and warranty work. This role works both independently and as part of the Performance O&M team, interacting closely with customers, the Branch Manager, senior electrical foreman, construction supervisor, and the centralized scheduling team. Key duties include organizing the warranty and service schedule, allocating labor with the electrical foreman and construction supervisor, and leading regular meetings to train the local field service team. The technician also supports onboarding of new team members, strives to exceed performance metrics such as turnaround time and dispatch count, and assists with inspections and site audits when needed. Physical requirements involve regularly lifting up to 50 lb (up to 100 lb with assistance), climbing ladders, and working on rooftops, rafters, and in confined spaces. The technician must operate safely in extreme weather conditions and use personal protective equipment such as fall‑protection harnesses. • Organize and lead warranty/service scheduling while allocating labor resources. • Conduct training sessions and on‑boarding for field service technicians. • Facilitate regular team meetings to share best practices and performance updates. • Achieve or surpass KPI targets such as turnaround time, experience rating, and dispatch volume. • Perform inspections and site audits as assigned. • Handle frequent lifting of up to 50 lb (up to 100 lb with help) and work safely on roofs, ladders, and in various weather conditions.

What You Bring
Candidates must have 1–3 years of field construction or solar experience and a high school diploma; PV design or electrical experience is preferred. A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and, where required by state law, an electrical journeyman certification are required. The position demands solid knowledge of the NEC and related codes, the ability to interpret single‑line drawings and PV system layouts, and strong customer‑service, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with computers and a results‑driven mindset are essential for success in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. • Require 1–3 years of field construction or solar experience and a high school diploma. • Prefer PV design/electrical background and a valid electrical journeyman license where applicable. • Maintain a clean driving record and possess a valid driver’s license (minimum age 21). • Demonstrate knowledge of NEC codes and ability to read single‑line drawings and PV layouts. • Exhibit strong customer service, verbal/written communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
