About the Role

The Equipment Commissioning Manager (EqCM) supports the Equipment North America (EqNA) organization on startup, warranty, and service coordination. The role reports to the Regional Service Manager for the first six months, then to the Branch Service Manager, and is accountable to the HVAC Equipment Operations Manager, while coordinating with the Customer Resource Coordinator for field service labor requirements. • Support EqNA sales during project estimates by determining service feasibility and project management needs. • Provide custom quotes for service items outside the PCAT policy. • Verify branch technicians are trained for secured contracts and coordinate training with the Truck Based Service Manager. • Attend RTO meetings on complex projects or Planned Service Agreements and identify service/warranty concerns. • Validate PSA details with SAE/Agent Project Owner and supply necessary documentation. • Conduct weekly service turnover meetings with SAEs and Branch Operations Manager to monitor service scopes. • Introduce Connected Service capabilities to customers. • Coordinate all scheduled work and schedule changes directly with the EqNA customer. • Verify asset records in NxGen are correctly assigned for future service requests and quotes. • Manage FOB Destination deliveries with technicians and communicate updates to SAE and the customer. • Ensure warranty information is accurate in Warranty Navigator and resolve discrepancies with SAE and Warranty Admin. • Monitor Long‑Term Storage requirements and coordinate with SAE and the customer. • Promote Pronto Forms usage for pre‑startup checklists, technician inspections, and warranty work. • Complete startup tasks, resolve issues, and provide customers with startup documentation. • Enter startup dates in NxGen and register equipment in Warranty Navigator, providing warranty certification to the customer. • Ensure all service requests are invoiced promptly upon scope completion. • Act as first point of contact for warranty requests, dispatching technicians and filing claims promptly. • Escalate and resolve issues that hinder warranty work, including parts and resource availability, to accelerate cash collections. • Facilitate technical support for EqNA customers as needed.

What You Bring

• 10+ years of industry experience or a technical engineering/construction degree. • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Writer, and basic Windows OS. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities. • Effective conflict resolution skills. • Represent Johnson Controls positively and communicate with varying technical levels. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with professionalism and persistence. • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail. • BA degree in Engineering or Construction (preferred). • Knowledge of HVAC equipment (preferred). • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (preferred).
