About the Role

The role involves coordinating and consolidating the 5‑year strategic plan, the annual profit plan, and the monthly forecast for engineering finance programs. It also includes managing functional budgeting for engineering and overseeing all aspects of project accounting, such as project setup, revenue recognition, cost allocation, risk identification and mitigation, and the coordination of Estimate‑at‑Completion (EAC) reviews. The incumbent will deliver financial insights to engineering and program managers by analyzing project spend, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing clear commentary to support informed decision‑making. They will align group and divisional priorities for future investments and strategic planning across global engineering, ensuring consistent resource and capital allocation for long‑term growth. Partnering with engineering leaders, the individual will seek cost‑optimization opportunities and other levers that enable increased innovation investment without additional spending. Acting as a change agent, they will collaborate with corporate engineering finance to lead finance transformation initiatives, drive standardization across the Aerospace Group, and implement innovative tools and forward‑looking analytics for predictive insights and sustainable success. • Consolidate 5‑year strategic, annual profit, and monthly forecasts for engineering finance. • Manage functional budgeting and end‑to‑end project accounting (setup, revenue recognition, cost allocation, risk mitigation, EAC reviews). • Provide financial analysis, risk identification, and commentary to support engineering decision‑making. • Align global engineering priorities and resource allocation for long‑term growth. • Identify cost‑optimization levers to increase innovation investment without additional spend. • Lead finance transformation initiatives, standardizing processes and deploying predictive analytics tools.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics, a minimum of three years of professional experience in aerospace or defense, and at least eight years of accounting/finance experience. The position demands access to export‑controlled information, thus applicants must be a U.S. person, and no relocation assistance is provided. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of specified locations, with an exemption for active‑duty military. A Master’s degree, two years of data analytics experience, two years in engineering finance, government compliance experience, and team‑leadership experience are preferred. Position criteria emphasize strong financial acumen and business‑partnering skills, with familiarity in applications such as ProPM, Oracle Time & Labor, and SAP CATS viewed as advantageous. The role requires the ability to communicate financial concepts to non‑financial professionals, detail‑orientation, effective organization and time‑management, high motivation, analytical self‑starting attitude, and the capability to drive change across regional finance and operations while solving complex problems. • Hold a Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics; 8+ years finance/accounting experience; 3+ years aerospace/defense experience. • Preferred Master’s degree and 2 years of data analytics and engineering finance experience. • Must be a U.S. person and reside within 50 miles of specified locations (exempt for active‑duty military). • Demonstrated strong financial acumen, business partnering, and ability to convey concepts to non‑financial audiences. • Proficiency with ProPM, Oracle Time & Labor, SAP CATS considered a plus. • Proven leadership, change‑management, and problem‑solving abilities.
