About the Role

The Direct Sales Consultant role focuses on identifying sales leads and delivering in‑home presentations of Sunrun’s solar products and services. The consultant’s priority is to build genuine human connections with potential customers, qualifying solar as a viable energy solution for their homes and families. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy face‑to‑face interaction, engaging customers, and field work. Key responsibilities include developing self‑generated sales strategies, providing an industry‑leading customer experience from initial contact through installation, and conducting in‑home sales presentations that build long‑lasting relationships. The consultant manages the entire pipeline from prospect to installation, accurately reports outcomes in the CRM, and strives to meet or exceed sales targets set by leadership. • Develop and execute self‑generated sales strategies and appointments. • Deliver industry‑leading in‑home sales presentations and build lasting customer relationships. • Manage the full sales pipeline from prospecting to post‑installation follow‑up. • Accurately record and report activity outcomes in the CRM system. • Meet or exceed sales targets set by leadership.

What You Bring

Successful candidates will have at least one year of sales or lead‑generation experience, with in‑home sales preferred, and must be 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for cross‑functional collaboration, along with a willingness to travel within the local market and intermediate comfort using an iPad, computer, and multiple software applications; CRM experience is a plus. • Minimum 1 year sales or lead‑generation experience; in‑home sales preferred. • Must be 21+, hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record. • Strong communication and teamwork abilities for cross‑functional collaboration. • Willingness to travel within the local market as needed. • Comfortable using iPad, computer and multiple software applications; CRM experience a plus.
