About the Role

• Load, transport, unload, and assist in selecting cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves based on load weight and size • Signal or verbally direct workers during hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of personnel and materials • Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment • Assist other craft workers as needed

What You Bring

The Rigger must possess knowledge of complex and heavy rigging, crane boom and cable changes, electrical safety, ladder and scaffold safety, lifting machinery, wire rope basics, basic rigging, fire prevention, sizing of chokers, load charts, cutting torches, and blueprint reading. Certification from a nationally recognized organization such as NCCER is highly recommended. The Rigger must understand all safety hazards related to the work and safely use or operate related tools and equipment, and will work in plant operations or construction job‑site settings. The position requires both physical and mental capabilities. Physically, the Rigger must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry loads, climb and maintain balance on various structures, and work in diverse environmental conditions, including uneven surfaces and adverse weather. Mentally, the Rigger must communicate effectively with supervisors, comprehend and follow written directions, perform basic calculations, make decisions, and maintain attention to detail amid distractions. • Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lb routinely (occasionally up to 100 lb) • Capable of climbing, balancing, and working on steel/wood frameworks, ladders, scaffolds, and uneven terrain • Proficient with hand and power tools (electric, gas, pneumatic) and basic blueprint reading • Communicates effectively, reads/writes directions, and performs basic math calculations • Works in various weather conditions and may enter confined spaces
