About the Role

• Conduct project‑level fire audits on the Engage platform for compliance. • Develop and agree an audit programme for each project based on available information. • Support the Director of Operations in closing all fire compliance issues, including legacy items. • Ensure fire compliance processes are followed, such as CLM/LDD appointments and fire‑stopping workshops. • Provide fire‑compliance input to bid teams. • Interface with Building Safety Bronze (and Silver/Gold) teams, supporting working groups and cascading key messaging. • Assist GTS in managing fire consultants and specialist experts, including performance feedback. • Advise projects on procurement strategies to meet fire‑compliance obligations. • Review and approve Passive Fire Protection Procurement Strategies. • Lead and support Permanent Works Project Fire Compliance Project Leads. • Produce a quarterly BU‑level performance report with a risk register. • Support creation and delivery of fire‑related technical training via the Mace Business School. • Consolidate project‑level reporting into a BU‑level report for senior leadership, covering progress, NCRs and mandatory occurrence reporting. • Review project supplier package ratings from a fire perspective. • Contribute to Business Unit training development in collaboration with other leads. • Support Digital Engineering and Quality functions to deliver the Golden Thread across projects. • Review compliance of fire‑related tasks on Mace Way. • Ensure consistent communication across projects and cascade information from Bronze/Silver teams. • Capture lessons learned and best practice for the Knowledge Hub to improve efficiency. • Collaborate with temporary works working groups to integrate fire‑stopping solutions. • Attend and contribute to fire‑related industry working groups and conferences. • Maintain impartiality, evaluate evidence pragmatically and take initiative in decision‑making. • Commit to continuous professional development and stay updated on industry trends. • Challenge tasks, see them to completion, learn quickly and implement improved practices. • Work independently, mentor individuals and network across project teams. • Maintain membership in a professional body such as RIBA, MICE, CIBSE, CIOB, RICS or CIAT.

What You Bring

Within our consult and construct business, we harness a unique combination of leading‑edge practical expertise and project delivery consultancy to unlock the potential in every project. • Possess strong knowledge of design management systems, risk mitigation and prefabrication/build strategies across multiple sectors. • Understand construction and consultancy industries, building safety legislation, standards, contracts, professional appointments and health & safety legislation. • Demonstrate excellent communication, organization, presentation and writing skills. • Show strong BIM literacy, management and delivery capabilities. • Be adaptable, enthusiastic and an effective listener who uses appropriate communication methods. • Hold a degree in a relevant design discipline or equivalent. • Know all design disciplines and demonstrate building‑safety competence for non‑higher‑risk buildings. • Experience managing risk and opportunity through design management processes. • Understand statutory and mandatory requirements and timelines for non‑higher‑risk buildings. • Possess enhanced knowledge of Building Standards, legislation and HSE regulations.
