About the Role
The Facility Technician supports the operation and upkeep of assigned commercial properties, ensuring that buildings, equipment, and grounds remain functional and well‑maintained. The role operates in a professional office setting, regularly utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and systems, including packaging machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, grounds equipment, and HVAC. • Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, and electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices. • Install and modify building equipment and systems. • Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and paint walls, piping, floors, and equipment. • Evaluate and recommend upgrades to maintenance operations and cost‑saving opportunities. • Use and maintain tools and equipment for facility and ground maintenance. • Respond immediately to emergencies and customer service requests. • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe conditions and perform preventative maintenance. • Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems, including fire alarms and fire pumps. • Perform carpentry tasks and snow removal as needed. • Follow applicable codes, regulations, agency directives, and safe work practices. • Utilize technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, web‑based applications, and building automation systems. • Adhere to C&W uniform dress code and maintain a neat appearance on and off property.

What You Bring
Physical demands include regular communication with others, operating a computer and office machinery, moving around the workplace, standing for short periods, and extending the hands and arms in various directions. • Complete required C&W safety training annually. • Hold a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • Possess at least 2 years of related experience in a commercial property setting. • Have technical or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, power transmission, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair. • Maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record; commercial license may be required. • Demonstrate basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Benefits
Compensation for this position ranges from $23.80 to $28.00 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package covering health, vision, dental, flexible spending accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, as well as paid and unpaid time off. Cushman & Wakefield ensures pay at or above minimum wage and offers competitive pay based on location, experience, and other factors.
