About the Role

The role supports launch teams through RFQ development, supplier negotiations, and Make‑vs‑Buy analysis while creating sourcing recommendations backed by solid documentation. It also drives cost‑saving initiatives, participates in commodity and minority‑business strategies, resolves supplier issues for manufacturing and quality, and manages purchase orders and vendor data within the ERP system. • Support launch teams with RFQ development, analysis, and supplier quote negotiations. • Negotiate Supplier Statements of Work and conduct Make vs. Buy analyses. • Develop sourcing recommendations with documented rationale. • Identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities through spend analysis and supplier negotiations. • Participate in commodity strategy, minority business strategy, supplier consolidation, and cost‑saving initiatives. • Resolve supplier issues for manufacturing and quality departments. • Administer purchase orders and vendor master data in the ERP system. • Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, legal, and ethical obligations. • Navigate legal issues related to terms and conditions and seek professional assistance when needed.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a four‑year degree in purchasing, supply chain management, business, materials, or a technical discipline, and possess three to five years of purchasing experience; CPM or CPSM certification is desirable. Required skills include complex data analysis, multi‑project coordination, strong negotiation and communication abilities, and proficiency with MS Office and ERP tools such as Oracle or SQL. • Bachelor’s degree in purchasing, supply chain, business, materials, or technical field. • 3–5 years of purchasing experience; CPM or CPSM certification preferred. • Strong analytical skills to identify savings and develop sourcing strategies. • Ability to manage multiple categories and projects simultaneously. • Proficient in financial/quantitative analysis and problem solving. • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills. • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience with Oracle, Access, or SQL a plus. • Organized, able to handle high‑volume interactions and prioritize tasks effectively.
