About the Role

The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance Team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. The role includes installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. Key responsibilities involve ensuring safety, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems, managing work orders and inventory, mentoring junior technicians, and maintaining positive relationships across the operations facility. • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. • Perform preventative maintenance routines on material handling equipment and document activities. • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on MHE such as belts, motors, photo‑eyes, and relays. • Create, assign, and close work orders, tracking labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts usage. • Manage departmental inventory and track supplies. • Mentor junior technicians to develop their skills. • Maintain positive relationships across the operations facility. • Work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures.

What You Bring

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of experience repairing material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems, and two years performing predictive and preventative maintenance. Additional requirements include one year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading, knowledge of electrical principles, CMMS experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work flexible schedules. Preferred qualifications include an associate or higher degree in a mechanical or electrical field, familiarity with MHE safety standards and OEM guidelines, experience with robotic operation and maintenance, and the ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions. The position requires physical capability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders, use aerial lifts, and lift up to 50 lb, while wearing required PPE. Work involves moving between departments and properties, averaging 6–12 miles per day, in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent. • Minimum 2 years experience repairing material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems. • At least 2 years experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance. • 1 year experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics. • Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles. • Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. • Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts. • Preferred: associate degree or higher in a mechanical or electrical field. • Familiarity with MHE safety standards and OEM guidelines. • Experience operating and maintaining robotic equipment. • Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions. • Physical ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders, use aerial lifts, and lift up to 50 lb. • Must wear required PPE such as hard hat, face mask, face shield, and composite toe shoes. • Average of 6–12 miles of movement between departments, floors, and properties per day.
