About the Role

This role sits close to the trading desk and is responsible for core accounting, close, and reporting activities supporting active commodity trading operations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, sound judgment, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. • Review balance sheet activity, cash movements, and working capital • Partner with front, middle, and operations teams to resolve variances • Ensure accuracy and consistency between trading systems and financial reporting • Support quarter-end and year-end close, reporting, and audit processes • Account for commodity trading transactions, including purchases, sales, and related costs • Validate AR/AP balances for assigned trading desks and commodities • Perform monthly economic-to-accounting P&L reconciliations

What You Bring
• Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines • Understanding of commodity trading or complex transactional environments • Ability to independently research issues and communicate conclusions • Team-oriented mindset with willingness to support and train others • Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capability • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred • Strong foundation in financial accounting
