About the Role
The Team Lead – Press is responsible for daily lead duties for the press team, including assigning work, monitoring progress, enforcing PPE and safety, and acting as a backup for the supervisor when absent. The role also provides coverage for the process technician as needed. On a typical day the lead runs and troubleshoots the press, trains new associates, and drives the production line to meet schedule. Responsibilities include issuing work assignments, completing production paperwork, confirming data in SAP, printing work orders, sending pass‑down notes and end‑of‑shift reports, and keeping the work area organized and stocked. • Operate and troubleshoot press equipment, serving as backup for the process technician. • Train new associates on press processes and procedures. • Lead the production line to meet schedule and ensure product quality. • Assign work, monitor staff progress, and verify production paperwork. • Complete SAP confirmations, print work orders, and send shift reports. • Maintain clean work areas and replenish consumables as needed. • Redirect off‑task employees and enforce PPE and safety guidelines. • Assist supervisor with break monitoring and provide timely performance feedback. • Conduct pre‑shift/tier‑1 meetings and address quality issues with casters. • Foster good relationships with other departments and uphold company policies.

What You Bring
The individual must redirect off‑task employees, monitor break times, give honest performance feedback, lead pre‑shift meetings, address part quality issues, and ensure all team members follow safety and company policies. Strong communication, ethical standards, leadership ability, and at least 90 days of employment are required, along with a high school diploma or equivalent and willingness to learn SAP and Office 365. • Meet eligibility criteria: good standing, strong ethics, communication, leadership, 90‑day employment. • Possess or be willing to learn SAP and Office 365; high school diploma or equivalent required.
