About the Role
• Plan, manage, and coordinate project schedule, scope, and cost. • Conduct value engineering to identify cost‑saving opportunities and approve material substitutions. • Communicate with and manage project stakeholders. • Prepare project management plan and fee/budget proposal at project outset. • Translate client goals into actionable plans for the project team. • Re‑evaluate contract scope against client goals and recommend adjustments. • Coordinate cost estimates, cost studies, job cost reviews, and budget reconciliation with cost management group. • Organize and maintain electronic and physical project documents and team processes. • Drive permitting process by preparing and submitting documents to local, state, and federal agencies. • Ensure design management aligns with client budget, scope, schedule, and design standards. • Prepare cost and revenue projections throughout the project. • Develop and deliver Project Management Plans and fee/budget proposals. • Monitor scope and recommend adjustments as needed. • Communicate cost and revenue forecasts effectively.

What You Bring
Cumming Group is seeking a seasoned Project Manager for a high‑visibility, active construction project in the East Bay (Oakland, CA). The role requires strong leadership, decisiveness, and the ability to quickly assess project status, risks, and stakeholder dynamics, and it mandates prior DSA project experience. • Knowledge of permitting processes and ability to meet project timelines. • Utilize strong written and oral communication skills; build relationships with peers, leaders, and clients. • Demonstrate dependability, diligence, creativity, and resourcefulness in compressed timeframes. • Preferred: BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field; 4+ years of project management, engineering, or construction experience; prior DSA project experience; certifications such as CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED.
