About the Role
The Senior Cost Consultant role is responsible for end‑to‑end service delivery on large and complex commissions for private and public sector clients, ensuring client objectives are met through a value‑added cost management service. • Conduct feasibility studies, business cases and write procurement reports. • Apply value management techniques at project outset. • Manage estimating and cost planning, own and present final cost plan. • Oversee procurement process from pre‑qualification through contract preparation. • Manage post‑contract cost variances, change control, cost checking and valuations. • Produce and present monthly post‑contract cost reports to clients. • Attend and actively participate in project meetings. • Perform value engineering and life‑cycle costing. • Negotiate and agree final accounts. • Serve as key interface with client and consultants throughout project stages. • Support marketing and business development in the sector and promote Mace regionally. • Provide line management and recruitment responsibilities.
