Design and document electrical substations, creating drawings, calculations, and field support.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Perform substation design tasks independently, including CADD design, drawing development, modeling, analysis, material list preparation, and field reviews for complex projects. • Prepare engineering drawings such as One Line Diagrams, General Arrangements, Grounding & Conduit Plans, Foundation Plans, BOMs, and Relay/Control System schematics. • Conduct calculations, reports, and designs for low, medium, and high voltage electrical substations to support engineers. • Interpret client standards and complete small to moderately complex projects, applying sound design judgment subject to engineer review. • Execute most design responsibilities without assistance on moderate projects and work independently with guidance on complex projects. • Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and client personnel. • Utilize advanced 3D coordination tools. • Provide leadership and mentoring to team members.

What You Bring
• Hold a technical degree or equivalent education and experience. • Bring at least 10 years of related industry experience. • Demonstrate advanced proficiency with 3D design software and document management systems. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and communication tools. • Understand engineering or architectural concepts deeply. • Know industry standards, practices, discipline codes, and specifications. • Exhibit excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
