About the Role
The Senior Associate, Applied AI Engineer will partner with the AI Architect to design, implement, evaluate, and operationalize AI agents and automation workflows within Core’s Databricks‑centric data platform and Microsoft Copilot Studio ecosystem. • Build AI agents using retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), tool calling, and orchestration frameworks on Databricks. • Extend agents within Microsoft Copilot Studio, integrating enterprise data, workflows, and APIs. • Audit agent behavior for accuracy, identify failure modes such as hallucinations, and design corrective strategies. • Prepare and curate structured and unstructured data, manage document ingestion pipelines, chunking, metadata enrichment, and indexing. • Collaborate with data engineering teams to align AI workflows with Lakehouse standards and governance. • Partner with product managers and stakeholders to define success criteria, validate AI outputs, and communicate limitations.

What You Bring
• Configure embeddings, vector stores, retrieval strategies, and prompt logic for accurate, grounded responses. • 2–5 years experience in applied AI, ML engineering, data science, or analytics engineering. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience. • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles. • Proficiency in Python and machine‑learning frameworks. • Hands‑on experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, notebooks, jobs, MLflow, feature pipelines). • Experience with RAG, embedding workflows, and vector databases for semantic search. • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio or Power Platform‑based automations. • Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Azure, with exposure to AWS or GCP. • Experience in LLM evaluation, prompt iteration, and agent testing.
