About the Role

• Lead end‑to‑end cost management across all project phases for hyperscale data‑center programs. • Develop and maintain detailed cost plans, estimates and forecasts using industry benchmarks. • Manage change control, negotiate change orders and ensure commercial governance. • Review contractor and subcontractor pricing, validate scope and devise procurement strategies. • Integrate cost forecasts with schedules and provide monthly cost reports and executive summaries. • Conduct cost risk analysis, scenario planning and monitor market trends for pricing escalations. • Drive cost optimization and value engineering to reduce lifecycle costs. • Set and track performance KPIs, delivering presentations to senior leadership. • Implement Business Management Systems and maintain financial performance tracking. • Identify and improve cost‑management processes, tools and knowledge‑sharing practices. • Lead, mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a high‑performance team culture. • Act as brand ambassador, build pipeline of opportunities and support proposal development. • Ensure compliance with SOX controls where applicable.

What You Bring

The firm seeks an experienced Associate Director – Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management on a hyperscale data‑center program. This client‑facing leadership role reports to senior stakeholders, requires strong communication, and will be based in Denver with roughly 50 % onsite presence in Cheyenne, WY. Travel logistics are provided. • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or related field; graduate degree preferred. • 8–10+ years of cost management or project controls experience on large‑scale, mission‑critical construction projects. • Proven client‑facing consultancy experience with strong stakeholder management. • Expertise in MEP systems, budgeting, Earned Value Management and procurement strategies. • Proficiency with CostX, Oracle, Excel, Primavera or similar cost‑management tools. • RICS accreditation or progress toward certification. • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities under pressure.
