About the Role

• Serve as Senior Project Manager overseeing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk for airfield construction projects. • Direct construction-phase services for runways, taxiways, aprons, lighting, signage, drainage, and related civil infrastructure. • Act as primary liaison between AECOM, airport clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout construction. • Manage phasing and sequencing to maintain uninterrupted airport operations, coordinating with operations, planning, security, and airlines. • Oversee contractor performance, ensuring compliance with contracts, safety standards, and airport operational constraints. • Review and maintain baseline, phasing, and look‑ahead schedules to protect critical milestones and minimize operational impacts. • Conduct constructability reviews focusing on staging, access, safety, and continuity of airport operations. • Identify and resolve construction issues, change orders, and claims to limit client exposure and keep projects on track. • Lead inspection, testing, and quality assurance to meet FAA, airport authority, and project‑specific standards. • Support cost tracking, forecasting, progress payment review, and reporting for project controls. • Mentor and supervise construction managers, inspectors, and support staff. • Ensure adherence to FAA requirements, airport standards, SMS, and environmental and labor regulations. • Participation in award‑winning training and development programs.

What You Bring

We are seeking an experienced Aviation Senior Project Manager to lead complex airfield construction projects at commercial service airports, based in Denver, CO. The role oversees construction‑phase execution, serves as the primary client interface, and ensures safe, compliant, and operationally sound delivery within active airfield environments. Candidates must hold a BA/BS degree and bring at least ten years of relevant experience, including two years of leadership, with senior‑level expertise managing airfield construction programs at commercial airports. A strong understanding of FAA standards, experience with runway and taxiway phasing, and professional certifications such as CCM or PMP are preferred. • BA/BS degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in leadership roles. • Senior‑level experience managing airfield construction programs at commercial service airports. • Proven track record on complex, multi‑stakeholder aviation projects with runway, taxiway, and apron construction phasing. • Strong knowledge of FAA airfield construction standards and airport operational safety protocols. • Experience handling contractor claims, change management, and schedule recovery. • Professional certifications such as CCM, PMP, or equivalent. • Experience with large airport capital improvement programs.
