About the Role
The role includes performing fieldwork for geotechnical subsurface investigations and geophysical surveys under engineering guidance. Tasks involve geotechnical drilling, sampling, visual reconnaissance, soil and rock logging, as well as seismic and electrical resistivity surveys. The technician will also observe and document construction activities, conduct material testing/inspection, and undertake additional engineering duties as needed. • Perform geotechnical fieldwork including drilling, sampling, and soil/rock logging • Conduct geophysical surveys such as seismic and electrical resistivity • Observe and document construction activities and conduct material testing/inspection

What You Bring
Candidates must be willing to travel nationwide and work in varied site conditions, with extensive travel (95‑100%) and relocation to Round Rock required. Required qualifications include a valid driver’s license with a clean record, ability to lift up to 15 lb, proficiency in MS Office, and strong oral and written communication skills. Preferred experience includes outdoor field work, geotechnical drilling/sampling, and construction material testing in soil and concrete. • Travel extensively across the United States (95‑100% travel) and relocate to Round Rock, TX • Maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean record and lift up to 15 lb • Proficient in MS Office and possess strong oral and written communication skills • Preferred experience: outdoor field work, geotechnical drilling, and construction material testing
