About the Role

The Driver‑CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous waste removal services. The role includes ensuring the vehicle meets company safety standards before each shift and adhering to all applicable state and federal regulations. Daily vehicle condition reports (VCRs) are completed to address any defects promptly. Key duties involve thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, following assigned routes using route sheets and maps, and operating the truck’s manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of refuse at designated facilities. The driver interacts professionally with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers, monitors waste for violations, tags unsuitable containers, and cleans any accidental spills in accordance with safety policies. Continuous vehicle monitoring, cleaning of the packer blade and truck body, and timely completion of productivity and safety reports are essential. • Perform pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues. • Operate the collection truck safely along assigned routes, following route sheets and maps. • Load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of material at the designated facility. • Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely service. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers according to procedures. • Monitor waste for unacceptable items and clean accidental spills safely. • Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body to keep the vehicle ready for operation. • Complete route productivity sheets, VCRs, and other required reports. • Maintain productivity standards and adhere to all safety policies and the ReSOP program. • Follow company policies, safety standards, and avoid taking inappropriate risks.

What You Bring

Applicants must hold a Class B (or higher) commercial driver’s license with an air‑brake endorsement. Strong customer‑service skills, effective time management, and the ability to follow company policies and safety standards are required.
