About the Role

• Conduct hydraulic and hydrological modelling using TUFLOW, URBS, XP RAFTS, and WBNM. • Mentor and support junior team members across the national network. • Prepare clear technical reports and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. • Model flood scenarios for creeks, rivers, overland flow paths, and pipe drainage networks, including stormwater quality treatment. • Collaborate with designers, environmental scientists, planners, and engineers to develop innovative, sustainable designs. • Engage with clients to build and maintain long‑term relationships.

What You Bring

The Water Resources group is seeking an experienced Senior Water Resources Engineer to work on a variety of projects throughout Queensland, supporting the national team. The role can be based in either the South Brisbane or Maroochydore offices, with flexible working arrangements available. This position offers exposure to all areas of water engineering, including dams, hydro projects, water infrastructure, and flood‑resilience initiatives, while collaborating with designers, environmental scientists, planners, and engineers. • Hold a tertiary qualification in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 5–10+ years of flood‑modelling experience. • Possess RPEQ registration (or eligibility) and knowledge of Australian rainfall and runoff guidelines. • Demonstrate proficiency in TUFLOW, hydrologic modelling software, and GIS packages such as QGIS, MapInfo, or ArcGIS. • Desirable: experience with MUSIC and water‑balance software like GoldSim.
