You will provide the highest level of quality service to customers and communities while maintaining a commitment to safety. The Tower Technician III installs, maintains, and operates wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment. The role requires understanding and applying MasTec health, safety, and environmental policies and industry standards such as OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, and ANSI. Key duties include climbing towers and ladders, erecting various tower types, off‑loading material, preparing sites, installing carriers, assisting with tower erection using helicopters, cranes or gin poles, assembling monopoles and other tower structures, installing antennas, transmission lines, and related foundations, grounding, and conduits, and mentoring less‑experienced technicians. • Install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecom equipment. • Apply MasTec Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and industry standards (OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, ANSI). • Climb towers and ladders to erect various tower types. • Off‑load material, manage inventory, and prepare/clean sites. • Install carriers on new and existing towers. • Assist tower erection using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles. • Assemble monopoles, weld and knock‑down self‑support and guyed towers. • Install microwave, VHF, UHF, cellular, and FM broadcast antennas. • Install transmission lines, foam/air dielectric coaxial, hardline, and elliptical waveguide. • Perform foundation, grounding, conduit, and electrical installations. • Mentor less‑experienced technicians.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma, at least four years of tower experience, and the ability to read and follow technical prints. They must be able to climb towers, lift 50 lb, work up to 12 hours, hold a valid driver’s license, and possess knowledge of safety standards; NWSA certification is a plus. • High school diploma. • Minimum 4 years tower experience. • Ability to read and follow technical prints. • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations; NWSA certification preferred. • Physical ability to climb towers, lift 50 lb, work up to 12 hours. • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. • Strong safety mindset, problem‑solving skills, and team orientation.
