About the Role
In this role you will lead drafting standards, collaborate with colleagues across the country on major national projects, produce and review complex technical drawings, and supervise CAD staff while coordinating schedules and maintaining quality control. • Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards. • Collaborate with nationwide staff on large national projects. • Develop technical drawings and plans of substantial complexity. • Perform quality checks and multifaceted calculations on drawings. • Supervise and train CAD staff while maintaining the drawing database. • Coordinate work activities to meet schedules and ensure quality control. • Apply engineering principles and suggest design changes. • Develop familiarity with Kimley‑Horn practices, procedures, and standards.

Our Atlanta Midtown, Georgia office is seeking a Civil Operator or Designer with over 10 years of experience to join the Development Services team. • Minimum 10 + years of relevant experience. • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred. • Proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley software and ability to manage printing/plotting settings. • Strong work ethic, interpersonal and written communication skills, and desire to learn. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively; willingness to mentor others.
