About the Role

Key responsibilities include managing commodities to generate year‑over‑year savings, developing and formalizing supply‑chain strategies for existing and new products, and expanding the vendor base. The role also entails risk management of the current vendor base, lean‑management and supplier‑integration expertise, and oversight of supplier service‑level agreements. Additionally, the employee will monitor supplier performance, define performance metrics, support engineering changes and new product launches, and design supply chains that adapt to market shifts and cost‑reduction initiatives. • Developing and fostering relationships with Suppliers while driving lower costs, superior performance and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

The role requires an established professional in commodity and account management as well as strategic sourcing. The incumbent will execute contracts aligned with sourcing goals, analyze supplier data and price proposals, and ensure acceptable pricing, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Candidates should hold a B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, with an MBA from a reputable business school considered advantageous. Eight to ten years of HVAC industry experience is required, along with hands‑on knowledge of copper raw materials, fabrication, heat exchangers, finned tubes, and sheet metal. • Copper raw, Copper fabrication, Heat Exchanger, Finned Tube, Sheet Metal with previous factory experience. • Proficient in understanding 3D and 2D drawings. • Experience in driving Supplier qualification programs and supplier process improvements. • Good knowledge of Purchasing disciplines and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.). • Well equipped with knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, APQP & QC Tools. • Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data. • Value engineering skills (VAVE, should-cost analysis, benchmarking). • Customer Focus and understanding market trends. • Proactive and Result-oriented. • Ability to work in multi‑tasking and a multi‑cultural environment. • Interpersonal and interdepartmental Coordination skills. • Fixture and Jig Design knowledge.
