About the Role

The Senior Project Engineer will lead specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programs, plan and organize staff work, develop policies and procedures, and ensure conformity with FDOT standards. Design‑build experience is preferred. • Maintain construction project records according to FDOT procedures. • Coordinate with owner, contractor, and project administrator on change orders, payments, and material testing. • Support new project pursuits, win work, and oversee the construction management team. • Organize project meetings and prepare meeting reports. • Prepare monthly progress reports and maintain project logs. • Review daily inspection reports and perform quantity calculations. • Assign tasks to CEI staff and assist throughout all project phases. • Oversee project progress, estimates, and ensure FDOT compliance.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering, be a Florida‑licensed Professional Engineer, and possess at least six years of relevant FDOT road or bridge experience, including two years on transportation projects. Required certifications include FDOT Advanced MOT and CTQP Quality Control Manager; a master’s degree may offset one year of experience. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. • Florida‑licensed Professional Engineer. • Minimum six years of FDOT road/bridge engineering experience, including two years on transportation projects. • FDOT Advanced MOT certification required. • CTQP Quality Control Manager certification required. • Master’s degree in engineering can substitute one year of experience. • Experience with FDOT Districts 1, 4, 5, Florida Turnpike, and Complex Category 2 bridge structures.
