About the Role

The role involves conducting field observations of existing facilities and performing a variety of facilities‑related services such as roofing, waterproofing, fireproofing, firestopping, exterior insulation finish systems (EIFS), anchor testing, coring, scanning, material sampling, leak investigations, and forensic investigations. • Conduct field observations and perform roofing, waterproofing, fireproofing, EIFS, anchor testing, coring, scanning, sampling, leak and forensic investigations. • Communicate effectively with contractors, technicians, and project managers. • Lift 40–70 lb repeatedly (occasionally up to 85 lb) and provide reliable transportation for site travel (mileage reimbursed).

What You Bring

The technician must interact and communicate effectively with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers. Candidates should be actively pursuing an associate, bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, architecture, building science or a related discipline and show interest in building forensics, mechanical systems, and structures. The position requires frequent lifting of 40–70 lb multiple times per day, with occasional lifts up to 85 lb to waist height, and reliable transportation for travel to job sites, with mileage reimbursed. • Pursue an associate, bachelor's, or master's degree in engineering, architecture, building science, or related field.
