About the Role

The Assembler/Bander role requires setting up, operating, and adjusting machines and equipment to produce or prepare for shipment a good quality product. Machines may include nutting, banding, strapping, wrapping, and other departmental equipment. The operator performs tasks such as assembling, painting, palletizing, filing, bundling, sorting, twisting, and deburring, and may conduct visual inspections, part separation, tagging, counting, and record keeping for production and scrap. Additionally, the operator must be capable of performing Statistical Process Control (SPC) and keeping the work area clean and orderly. • Set up, operate, and adjust nutting, banding, strapping, wrapping, and related equipment. • Perform assembling, painting, palletizing, filing, bundling, sorting, twisting, and deburring tasks. • Conduct visual inspections, part separation, tagging, counting, and record production and scrap. • Execute Statistical Process Control (SPC) as required. • Maintain machines, equipment, and work area in a clean, orderly condition. • Stand and perform repetitive work for a minimum of eight hours daily. • Operate a stapling machine with one hand. • Work with heavy weights and equipment that generate vibration.
