About the Role
The engineer will apply advanced scientific principles to develop technical solutions, interpret data against regulatory standards, and provide engineering design support for private industrial and state remediation projects. Responsibilities include field oversight of pre‑design investigations, remediation implementation, treatment‑system operation, cost‑estimate development, and supporting project managers with budgeting, scheduling, and scope tracking, while mentoring less‑experienced staff. • Lead design and implementation of soil, groundwater, sediment, and surface water investigations and remediation programs. • Conduct regulatory compliance inspections, sampling, and reporting for commercial/industrial facilities. • Apply advanced scientific principles to develop technical solutions and ensure compliance with local, provincial, and national regulations. • Provide engineering and design support, field oversight of pre‑design investigations, and construction support for remediation projects. • Operate and evaluate treatment systems, develop O&M plans, and prepare engineering reports, calculations, and specifications. • Develop cost estimates and assist project managers with budgeting, scheduling, scope development, and cost tracking. • Mentor and oversee less‑experienced scientists and technicians.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a BA/BS in Environmental Engineering (or related field) with at least four years of experience, possess a current Professional Engineer license, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and U.S. citizenship. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, five or more years of site‑investigation leadership, proficiency with CAD/GIS, experience with remediation technologies and groundwater modeling, OSHA 30‑hour construction training, and familiarity with state and federal environmental regulations. • Minimum: BS in Environmental Engineering, 4+ years experience, PE licensure, valid US driver’s license, US citizenship. • Preferred: MS degree, 5+ years site investigation leadership, CAD/GIS proficiency, experience with remediation technologies and groundwater modeling, OSHA 30‑hr construction training.
