About the Role

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the supply chain meets minimum security standards by developing audit programmes, monitoring supplier compliance, and acting as the security focal point for incidents. You will also provide risk‑based advice, coordinate response to intelligence‑driven threats, and deliver security awareness briefings to internal and external stakeholders. • Develop audit schedules, conduct site visits, and produce detailed assessment reports for suppliers. • Map the entire supply chain, including sub‑tiers, to identify risks and assess information sensitivity. • Monitor supplier security across physical, personnel and cyber domains to prevent asset compromise. • Validate supplier security arrangements against contractual obligations, UK legislation and industry best practice. • Serve as the security focal point for supplier breaches, providing advice, incident response and lessons learned. • Act on intelligence regarding threats to supply‑chain sites, coordinating risk‑management and business continuity measures. • Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and deliver security and cyber awareness briefings. • Design and execute comprehensive audit plans with corrective and preventive actions. • Support training initiatives to improve audit readiness and regulatory awareness among suppliers.

What You Bring

The Supply Chain Security Assurance Lead role is based in Bristol, reporting to the Supply Chain Assurance Manager and forming part of the Defence Security Team. The position requires independent travel to suppliers, partners and other Rolls‑Royce sites across the UK (minimum 50%) and may involve occasional international trips. Successful candidates will demonstrate a safety‑first mindset, strong communication and influencing abilities, and a track record of delivering comprehensive audit plans. Required qualifications include a valid UK driving licence, experience with security compliance and physical security standards, familiarity with ISO 27001, ISO 28001 and CSMP, and the ability to obtain a Security Check (SC) clearance. UK nationality is mandatory, with additional scrutiny for dual nationals. • Hold a valid UK driving licence. • Understand security principles, compliance and assurance in both defence and non‑defence contracts. • Experience with physical security standards (NPSA) and production of audit reports, risk assessments and KPI analyses. • Supply‑chain experience in government contracting, preferably in procurement, security management or military roles. • Certifications or experience with ISO 27001, ISO 28001, CSMP and TAPA. • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with strong attention to detail. • Eligible for a Security Check (SC) clearance and hold UK nationality (dual nationals subject to additional checks).
