About the Role
The Lead Sales Specialist – Contracts is responsible for identifying and providing solutions to minimise and mitigate risk within contractual activities for Baker Hughes, with a focus on the BRUSH Power Generation business. The role drives contractual review, redlining of terms and conditions, and negotiation during the commercial (ITO) phase to reduce commercial, execution, legal and financial risks. • Mitigate commercial risk by redlining terms and conditions and coordinating reviews with legal, compliance, finance, tax and insurance experts. • Draft and negotiate specific agreements such as NDAs, MOUs and contract amendments. • Advise commercial teams on contract drafting during negotiations with customers, subcontractors and consortium partners. • Ensure full understanding of key contractual clauses including indemnities, liability limits, consequential losses and warranties. • Review, draft and negotiate international and domestic sales agreements for equipment, services and parts. • Support customer negotiations in person, via phone or telepresence. • Collaborate with GTE subject‑matter experts across risk, finance, treasury, legal, compliance and operations to analyse project contract risk and develop mitigation plans. • Conduct tender analysis with Commercial Operations and Legal to evaluate contract specifications and structures. • Simplify the ITO process through cooperation with Legal, Finance and Commercial Senior Leadership. • Contribute to process enhancements and commercial training while adhering to GTE risk procedures and reviews. • Maintain constant partnership with the Risk Management and Execution (OTR) Risk teams during hand‑off and lessons‑learned sessions. • Lead with integrity, upholding the GTE compliance policy in all transactions.

What You Bring
• Hold a degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering or a related discipline. • Possess extensive O&G, energy or industrial industry experience and proven ability to draft and negotiate contracts. • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑solving, oral and written communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and travel as required. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; fluent in written and spoken English; additional language skills are a plus. • Must have a permanent UK work permit.
