About the Role
The Business Analyst at Republic Services analyzes the needs of various functional business areas and recommends system solutions or procedures. Acting as a liaison between business and technical teams, the analyst ensures that enhancement or modification scopes are clearly documented, communicated, and validated, while collaborating closely with technical teams or external vendors to design, develop, document, and test solutions that meet business requirements. Key responsibilities include facilitating system enhancement requests, coordinating release schedules with product owners and stakeholders, and gathering functional requirements using elicitation techniques. The analyst conducts feasibility research, creates detailed user requirement documentation, supports quality assurance and data profiling for pre‑ and post‑implementation reviews, and assists functional and user acceptance testing throughout the development life cycle. Additional duties involve status reporting, knowledge transfer, implementation planning, and maintaining vendor relationships. • Facilitate system enhancement requests and coordinate release schedules with stakeholders. • Elicit and document functional requirements from business users and subject matter experts. • Conduct feasibility research and produce detailed user requirement specifications. • Support quality assurance, data analysis, and pre‑/post‑implementation reviews. • Assist functional and user acceptance testing throughout the development lifecycle. • Manage status reporting, knowledge transfer, and implementation planning for software solutions. • Maintain relationships with software vendors and implementation partners.

What You Bring
Ideal candidates hold a Business Analysis or Project Management Professional certification (preferred) and possess 2–4 years of experience in business or technical analysis. The position offers an annual compensation range of $75,100 to $112,700 and includes comprehensive benefits.
