About the Role
The mechanic will perform repairs, routine maintenance, and inspections on a wide variety of mining, quarry, and fixed‑plant equipment, troubleshooting major components such as engines, brakes, transmissions, hydraulics, drivetrain, HVAC, and electrical systems. Responsibilities include documenting work orders, inspecting machines for abnormalities, welding, fabricating, and managing parts inventories. The position requires the ability to operate mobile equipment and company vehicles, work with limited supervision, and be available for weekend work or overtime. • Perform heavy/major maintenance and routine scheduled maintenance on equipment and trucks. • Complete maintenance and work‑order records; inspect machines for defects. • Weld and fabricate as needed; manage parts catalogs, procurement, storage, and cost. • Perform housekeeping duties and work‑area checks. • Operate mobile equipment and company vehicles on public highways and job sites. • Work with limited supervision, schedule own tasks; weekend work/overtime may be required. • Develop and maintain working relationships with employees and vendors.

What You Bring
• Minimum three years of heavy‑equipment experience. • Physical ability to lift 70 lb, climb 20 ft, and perform stooping, pushing, kneeling, and twisting motions. • Work in all weather conditions and at heights up to 20 feet.
