About the Role

The manager will set clear goals, conduct performance evaluations, and allocate resources strategically to match sales priorities and customer demand. They will define and track key performance indicators, monitor workload and pipeline status, and report win‑loss trends to drive continuous improvement. In collaboration with Technical Sales Managers and manufacturer representatives, the manager will oversee proposal preparation, technical presentations, and product demonstrations, ensuring accurate and timely responses to technical and pricing inquiries. Acting as a technical liaison throughout the sales process, they will provide advanced consultation, build long‑term customer relationships, and support complex project opportunities. • Lead and develop a team of Sales Application Engineers and Application Engineers, set goals, evaluate performance, and allocate resources. • Define, track, and report KPIs, workload, pipeline status, and win/loss trends. • Collaborate with Technical Sales Managers and manufacturers to deliver technical solutions and proposals. • Prepare technical presentations, product demonstrations, and respond to technical and pricing inquiries. • Provide advanced technical consultation and support complex project opportunities throughout the sales process. • Gather customer feedback to inform Product Management and identify new product opportunities. • Work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Marketing, and Product Management to align solutions and create technical collateral. • Support internal teams during pre‑sales, order fulfillment, change orders, and conduct post‑mortem cost analysis.

The role will lead a team of Sales Application Engineers and Application Engineers, serving as the technical bridge between Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to ensure proposals are technically sound and aligned with business objectives. Deep expertise in BASX’s product portfolio is essential, as is the ability to gather and convey customer feedback to Product Management and Engineering. The manager will champion new product opportunities, work closely with cross‑functional teams to align solutions and messaging, and support marketing with technical input for collateral and case studies. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, at least seven years of application engineering and technical sales experience, and two years of leading technical teams, preferably in HVAC or thermal management. Strong leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and customer‑first skills are required, along with proficiency in MS Office and CAD software, and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
