Civil Craft Laborer - Lazbuddie

About the Role

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer to assist Journeymen with material handling, equipment assembly and dismantling, work area preparation, and cleaning of machines and workspaces. Key duties include loading and unloading equipment, supplying materials and tools to other trades, maintaining clean work areas, erecting and dismantling scaffolding, leveling ground, handling motor and grout, performing general debris cleanup, and managing concrete placement and vibration. • Load and unload equipment • Supply materials and tools to other crafts • Clean work areas, machines, and equipment • Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5x7x16) and staging • Perform general cleanup and debris removal, including sweeping, washing, loading or burning debris • Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete • Build relationships with diverse colleagues and organizational levels • Operate power and hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, jackhammers • Operate forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies • Perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has construction experience, can operate power and hand tools as well as equipment such as forklifts and skid loaders, demonstrates strong teamwork, positive attitude, and effective communication, and meets physical demands including repetitive movements and lifting up to 50 lb (with assistance for heavier loads). • Handle motor and grout: lift, unload, move, set, shovel • Vibrate concrete • Prior construction experience preferred • Demonstrate strong teamwork, positive attitude, and professional customer service • Exhibit detail orientation, active listening, and effective communication • Lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lb; over 50 lb with assistance
