About the Role
Join a team that provides remote and on‑site services for protection systems in transmission and distribution substations, delivering timely, cost‑effective solutions that meet customer expectations. All work follows industry‑standard processes, safety protocols and best practices to ensure reliability and excellence. The position involves training site operators, preparing site‑specific manuals and writing procedures for switching, energisation and isolation work. You will coordinate and oversee substation technicians and electricians, act as project manager and primary customer contact, and lead the protection team to minimise outages in brownfield or energized environments. Compliance with external and internal regulations, safety precautions and Hitachi’s core values of safety and integrity is essential. • Drive service sales and business development across assigned countries and market segments. • Perform relay testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting at substations up to 400 kV. • Troubleshoot protection schemes and supervise automation system installation to ensure compliance with standards. • Train site operators, create site‑specific manuals, and develop procedures for switching, energisation, and isolation. • Coordinate and oversee substation technicians and electricians; act as project manager and primary customer contact. • Lead and assign work to the protection team, minimizing outages in brownfield or energized environments. • Ensure adherence to external and internal regulations, safety procedures, and Hitachi’s core values of safety and integrity.

What You Bring
You will drive service sales and business development across assigned countries and market segments such as utilities, power generation, oil & gas, EPCs and industrial clients. The role includes performing relay testing, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting at substations up to 400 kV, and requires knowledge of Hitachi Energy relays, structured programming and communication protocols (experience with other manufacturers is a plus). You will also troubleshoot protection schemes, supervise automation installation and ensure full compliance with standards. A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is preferred and a minimum of seven years of relevant experience is required. Candidates must have strong communication, interpersonal, organisational and time‑management skills, be proficient with testing and diagnostic equipment and be able to read electrical drawings and schematics. Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory. • Apply knowledge of Hitachi Energy relays, structured programming and communication protocols; familiarity with other manufacturers is a plus. • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience; bachelor's degree in electrical engineering preferred. • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time‑management skills. • Proficient with testing and diagnostic equipment and capable of interpreting electrical drawings and schematics. • Fluent in spoken and written English.
